Universal Studios

Universal Studios would have to be one of the happiest places and it was a great way to top of such an amazing trip. 

We decided on our last day in America, while visiting universal studios, that we would act like typical crazy tourists wearing ridiculous t-shirts and making sure we stopped to take a photo at every cheesy photo point... hence the above :) 

A little touch of heaven

Back in February Tim and I had the pleasure of visiting my beautiful and very talented little sister who is living the dream working on a tiny island located on the Great Barrier Reef. Lets just say a little touch of heaven! My family and I have been going to Heron Island for a while now, this trip being my fourth time, some places just keep pulling you back. It was the perfect escape, no television, no phone reception and a total eco friendly environment allowed us both to really unwind and get to experience some beautiful scenes of natural wonder. Each day was spend relaxing on the beach, snorkeling the reef and around 2pm we would both retreat to the bar where we spent the next few hours enjoying cocktails until it was time to head down to the beach to watch the sunset with a few beers in hand. A highlight would have to be on valentines day Tim and I where enjoying a romantic picnic on the beach with food and wine when a whole nest of baby turtles hatched and scuttled right by our picnic just on sunset.... perfect way to top off the day! The only thing that came close to that experience was getting the chance to snorkel above an eagle ray while it was feeding.

While I'm sitting here trying to finish off a few university assessments with 3 jackets on and a tea in hand (because our little house always feels 10 degrees colder) I know there is somewhere I would rather be....

A few weeks back Newcastle gave us nothing but rain, which meant I spent a lot of time shopping to distract myself from the gloomy weather. So when the sun finally came out I jumped at the opportunity to take some photos of my new goodies. Here are the results...

Hi there!

This is Class of EightyNine's first post, with the beautiful Jane. These images were taken a little while ago now, but it was the perfect day for a shoot. The light and warmth really brought out the best of these moments. Most of the images seen here were taken at a day out in Newcastle, which by the way has much hidden beauty to be discovered in itself. Here it is, from me to you, my first blog.
